Prepare for your new release
Ahead of your release, Apple Music for Artists will display a module in the “Measure” tab, reminding you to share the news with your fans. You can make a strong first impression on fans by updating your profile on the platform.
Check your release performance
On release day, you can view total plays, top-played songs, and top cities for plays earned that week. Navigate to the “Overview” section of “Measure” to view the dashboard.
You can select the New Release Insights module to get more detailed release-week performance data, down to individual tracks, and compare your performance to previous releases in your catalog.
It can take up to eight hours for new data to populate in your profile and stats are subject to change once final play data is processed and reported. Any plays accrued outside of release week (e.g. plays on instant gratification tracks available before your release day) do not count toward release week insights.
What to look for after release day
New Release Insights give you a snapshot of your release week performance. You can continue to measure performance data by going to the “Trends” page in “Measure” where you can see listener location, demographics, and other granular performance data.
