As the world’s largest online distributor of independent music, we’ve managed pretty well in the same warehouse location in Portland, Oregon for over ten years now. But the time has finally arrived when CD Baby has outgrown our current warehouse and office facility. We’ll be moving our headquarters on March 21st. Not far. Just a couple miles down the road.

Despite well-publicized declines in major label profits, CD Baby has witnessed a steady increase in both our artists’ physical AND digital music sales, with between 200-300 new submissions per day. With a roster of over a quarter-million artists, a digital catalog of over 3-million songs, and a staff of over 110 employees, we’ve been bursting at the seams in our current office location for several years. To keep up with continued growth, CD Baby (along with our sister companies HostBaby, FilmBaby, and BookBaby) will be relocating to a new facility at:

CDBaby

13909 NE Airport Way

Portland, OR 97230

Since we’re always trying to be eco-friendly, we’ve also invested in new warehousing equipment that will allow us to build UP instead of out, reducing overall square-footage while simultaneously increasing storage space. Very exciting (for us, at least!) Not only are we consolidating all 3 of our warehouses into one space and uniting all four of our Baby brands beneath one roof, but we’re doing it while decreasing our footprint.

We see this move to a new location as proof that not every bit of news about the modern music industry has to be bad news. We’ve continued to grow, and this move is a clear sign that independent music sales are still going strong. Our success is due to our artists, and we appreciate the fact that they’ve allowed us to partner in their music careers. This move will enable us to keep serving the indie music community for years to come.
