Last summer at CD Baby’s third annual DIY Musician Conference in Nashville, an Ontario-based songwriter named AHI (pronounce “eye”) took advantage of as many opportunities as he could, first submitting his music to the song-pitch session, then signing up to record a performance for the YouTube Nashville Sessions, and lastly showcasing at The Cannery on Saturday night.
Throughout the weekend, NPR’s Bob Boilen was charmed by AHI’s soulful, wise, and optimistic voice, and the performer was invited to do a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR headquarters.
