Using Google +1 to Promote Your Music

742 5

Google Search just launched a social component so that users can recommend particular search results to friends. Similar to the “like” button for Facebook or the “tweet this” function you may see on blogs, Google hopes the +1 will become a popular feature in the design of websites. Since the +1 is so new, you can keep an eye out and become an early adopter in terms of your own music marketing.

Check out this video about Google’s new social recommendation tool:

  • Good introduction video, thanks!

It will be interesting to see how widely used this becomes when there are already so many established social bookmarking buttons in use (Facebook Like, Twitter retweet, StumbleUpon, Digg, Reddit, etc.) Seems like the prominent visibility in search results may give it the edge. Looking forward to adding the buttons to my sites and seeing what comes of it, anyway!
