Last weekend, during the Bumbershoot music festival, the popular Seattle rapper and his team announced that they’d be handing out flyers for an October show and pulling “some Willy Wonka shit!

What kinda Willy Wonka $#!t? Well, five of those flyers contained GOLDEN TICKETS with a special code, redeemable for two free tickets for that upcoming show.

So, with one announcement, Macklemore stirred up hype for Bumbershoot (an event he’s performed at several times) AND his own upcoming performance. 

See how fun music promotion can be? It’s a world of pure imagination—Wonka-style.
